Ryan Callanan - the man behind iconic street print-artist RYCA - is known for his graphic prints and contemporary sculptural works. Drawing on his career as a sign writer, Callanan works with a wide range of materials, incorporating glass, resin and gold leaf (amongst others) to create tactile pieces of modern art. Callanan's work is distinguished by its merging of cultural references, taking one image or concept and transplanting it into the context of another, to create a sense of off-kilter familiarity. 'Unfuckinbelievable' - his new release, exclusive to artrepublic - is stylistically reminiscent of the traditional English pub sign, a motif that recurs in much of his work.
